Tibetans in Dalhousie Celebrate US "Resolve Tibet Act"

On July 17, 2024, Tibetans in Dalhousie celebrated the US government's enactment of the "Resolve Tibet Act" at GPO. Tibetan Settlement Officer Phurbu Tsering and Local Tibetan Assembly President Phurbu Damdul thanked the US and urged India to adopt similar stances on Tibet. Sweets were distributed to locals and tourists. The Act, passed on July 12, 2024, addresses Tibet's unresolved status, supports Tibetan self-determination, and counters China's misinformation about the Dalai Lama and Tibet's history.
