Tibetan Nomads in Ladakh Seek Urgent Help After Deadly Snowstorm

A powerful snowstorm has devastated the Tibetan nomadic community in Ladakh’s Jangthang region, killing over 4,000 livestock and affecting more than 240 families, reported the Central Tibetan Relief Committee (CTRC). The loss of sheep, goats, and yaks has left these high-altitude pastoralists without income or food, threatening their survival and traditional way of life. CTRC has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support immediate relief and long-term recovery. Tibetans worldwide are urged to contact their nearest Settlement Office or Office of Tibet to contribute and help share the appeal across network.
