Tibet’s Ragya Sherig Norbuling School Set to Reopen

The Ragya Gangjonq Sherig Norbuling School in Qinghai Province is set to reopen as a vocational institute, reported Tibet Times. Founder Ven. Ragya Jigmey Gyaltsen announced the development to students and parents, stating the school will focus on technical skills such as mobile phone use and vocational training. Previously a leading centre for Tibetan language education, the school had over 1,400 students and produced hundreds of professionals since its founding in 1994. Though celebrated for academic excellence, the school’s curriculum has now been redirected, marking a significant change in its mission.
