An International Campaign for Tibet analysis says a June 16 conference in Lhasa detailed China’s expanding use of artificial intelligence, emotional storytelling and historical messaging to influence global views of Tibet. The conference brought together officials and communication specialists and promoted targeted content for different overseas audiences. Ten organizations signed a framework agreement on coordinated international communication, while seven think tank experts were appointed and a “China Today Xizang Salon” was launched. ICT said the network links technology, foreign content creators and state-approved narratives under China’s new Ethnic Unity and Progress Law.
