The eighth session of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile concluded with key resolutions and solidarity statements for Tibetans inside Tibet, according to official website. The session, chaired by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, unanimously passed a motion expressing gratitude to the U.S. for adopting the Resolve Tibet Act. Gratitude was also extended to former Australian Senator Janet Rice for her support. Elections for the Tibetan Election Commission and Public Service Commission were held, with Lobsang Yeshi and Tsultrim Dorjee elected. The session also passed several amendments and discussed the critical situation in Tibet.
