Tibet Office urges EU to act on worsening Tibet situation

The Office of Tibet Brussels met with Members of the European Parliament this week to urge stronger support for Tibet amid rising repression. Representative Rigzin Genkhang and EU Advocacy Officer Tenzin Phuntsok highlighted urgent concerns, including the unexplained death of Tulku Hungkar Dorje in Chinese custody in Vietnam. They presented the Central Tibetan Administration’s call for accountability and urged MEPs to act using all diplomatic and legislative tools. The MEPs expressed concern and pledged continued advocacy. Genkhang reiterated the CTA’s commitment to the Middle Way Approach for a peaceful resolution to the Tibet issue.
