During the recent Tenshug ceremony at Tsuglagkhang Temple in Dharamshala, His Holiness the Dalai Lama shared a deeply personal vision of the Buddha. He recounted seeing the Buddha in a dream, surrounded by disciples, and being personally blessed. “He patted my head with the kindness of one taking care of his disciples,” His Holiness said, adding that he offered a piece of chocolate as a gesture of devotion. This vision reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the Buddha’s teachings, which he described as the essence of the Tibetan tradition. The long-life prayers, offered by Tibetan communities from Darjeeling, New York-New Jersey, and Minnesota, featured traditional offerings, heartfelt songs, and devotional verses. The ceremony reflected both the reverence for His Holiness and the enduring strength of Tibetan spiritual culture.
