His Holiness Offers Prayers After Venezuela Earthquakes

His Holiness the Dalai Lama offered prayers and condolences after recent earthquakes in Venezuela caused loss of life, injuries, and widespread devastation. In a message dated June 27, 2026, His Holiness expressed sympathy to all those affected and said people share a responsibility to help one another in times of suffering. He welcomed the arrival of hundreds of international rescue workers in Venezuela and recalled the warmth shown by Venezuelans during his four-day visit in 1992. His Holiness said that same spirit would help the people of Venezuela through this difficult time.
