Tibetans, Chinese Activists Protest in Vienna on China’s National Day

Around 50 Tibetans and Chinese activists staged a peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy office in Vienna on October 1, 2025, marking the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Organized by the Tibetan Community in Austria, the rally called on Beijing to respect religious freedom and protect the rights of Tibetans. Participants included Chinese democratic activists, Chinese Christian communities, members of the Voluntary Tibet Advocacy Group (V-TAG), and local Tibetans. The protest is held annually on China’s national day to highlight human rights concerns in Tibet.
