Sonada Tibetan Settlement Celebrates 'Resolve Tibet Act'

On July 24, 2024, the Tashiling Tibetan Settlement in Sonada celebrated the enactment of the 'Resolve Tibet Act' by the US government. The event, held at the Cooperative Society Hall, began with the Tibetan and Indian national anthems and a moment of silence for Tibetan martyrs. Attendees enjoyed Indian sweet ladoos and learned about the Act, signed by President Joe Biden on July 12, 2024. The celebration included a traditional dance, luncheon, and a day-long picnic at the Community Hall.
