Martin Scorsese Leads KUNDUN Tribute to Dalai Lama at Tribeca

On 6 June 2025, the Tribeca Film Festival hosted a special screening of KUNDUN in honour of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, who created the film, reflected on its life-changing impact and conveyed birthday wishes. The event, co-organised by the International Campaign for Tibet and the Office of Tibet, North America, was enriched with Tibetan cultural displays and attended by prominent Tibetans and members of the film’s cast and crew. The screening aimed to share His Holiness’s enduring message of compassion with global audiences during the Year of Compassion.
