“Kundun” to Screen at Tribeca Festival Honoring Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday

The Tribeca Festival will host a special 35mm screening of Martin Scorsese’s film Kundun in honor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Scorsese will introduce the film, which depicts the early life of the Tibetan spiritual leader. Organized in partnership with the International Campaign for Tibet, the screening is part of the global “Compassion Rising World Tour 2025”, celebrating the Dalai Lama’s legacy of peace, justice, and compassion. ICT President Tencho Gyatso praised the event as a meaningful tribute to a film cherished by Tibetans and friends worldwide.
