Chinese Prison authorities in Tibet have again denied family and legal access to imprisoned Tibetan businessman Dorje Tashi, intensifying fears for his welfare, reported Tibet Watch. Despite proper documentation, a visit by his brother Dorje Tsetan and lawyer Wang Fei was blocked last month at Chushur Prison. Dorje Tashi, 51, has been in prison since 2008 on charges widely seen as fabricated. Sources say he may be in solitary confinement for an unspecified infraction. His family has not seen him in years, as Chinese authorities continue to disregard legal visitation rights, raising grave concerns over his health and safety.
