Tibetans born in India after 1987 can now vote in Indian elections, Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania announced on Monday. His statement came during a meeting with a delegation from the Tibetan Government-in-Exile. The delegation, including Tibetan MPs Dondup Tashi and Tsering Yangchen, expressed gratitude for India’s support. They reaffirmed their commitment to Tibet’s independence movement. Pathania emphasized the deep India-Tibet ties and assured continued support. Dharamshala remains the center of the Tibetan struggle, hosting the Tibetan Government-in-Exile for over 65 years.
