The UK Parliament launched the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Tibet (APPG Tibet) on 4 February 2025, with Scottish National Party MP Chris Law elected as Chair. The group, comprising MPs from Labour, Conservative, and SNP, aims to raise political visibility for Tibet. Representative Tsering Yangkey and activists highlighted issues including Tibet’s environment, China's renaming of Tibet, and forced assimilation in colonial boarding schools. The meeting also discussed the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday and China’s abduction of the Panchen Lama. The next APPG Tibet meeting is set for May 2025.
