European Parliament Launches 'Friends of Tibet' Group

The European Parliament formally launched the European Parliamentary Friends of Tibet, led by MEP Prof. Dainius Zalimas, with support from over 20 MEPs. The event in Brussels aimed to raise awareness about Tibet and advocate for Tibetan rights. Representative Rigzin Genkhang of the Office of Tibet Brussels highlighted Tibet's worsening situation and upcoming events, including the 9th World Parliamentarians’ Convention on Tibet in Tokyo. MEPs expressed commitment to keeping Tibet on the EU agenda. The launch marks a key step in strengthening Tibet advocacy in the European Parliament.
