Bones found in Tibet's Baishiya Karst Cave reveal that Denisovans lived at 3,280m altitude for millennia. Over 2,500 bones, including a Denisovan rib dated between 48,000-32,000 years ago, were discovered. These hominins coexisted and interbred with Neanderthals and Homo sapiens. The cave provided a stable environment despite its harsh conditions. The bones show their diverse diet of blue sheep, yaks, and other animals, with tools made from the remains. Researchers are eager to learn more about Denisovans' adaptation to high altitudes and shifting climates.
