Young Tibet Advocates Meet EU Lawmakers in Brussels

Eleven young Tibetans and supporters from across Europe joined the 2025 Tibetan Empowerment Days in Brussels, coordinated by the International Campaign for Tibet with support from FIDH. The four-day program, beginning September 22, included training workshops and meetings with Members of the European Parliament and the Belgian Federal Parliament. Advocates raised concerns over China’s assimilation policies in Tibet, the colonial boarding school system, and repression of the Tibetan diaspora in Europe. They urged EU lawmakers to impose targeted sanctions on Chinese officials and to treat Tibet as both a human rights and environmental priority.
