Canada Tibet Committee (CTC) hosted U.S. Tibetan delegates in Ottawa from October 2-4 for advocacy meetings. The delegation, including Dr. Namgyal Choedup, Tencho Gyatso, and Bhuchung Tsering, met with Canadian parliamentarians like Minister of Justice Arif Virani and members of the Parliamentary Friends of Tibet. Discussions focused on sustaining political and developmental support for Tibet amid ongoing human rights concerns in China. Bob Ankerson of the Tibet Fund also highlighted challenges faced by Tibetans in India and Nepal during the meetings.
