The Election Commission of the Central Tibetan Administration officially declared the winners of the 18th Tibetan Parliament in Exile following a global election. Among the 45 elected members, 17 are newcomers entering the assembly for the first time. Despite successful polling across 27 countries and 309 stations, officials reported a notable decline in civic engagement. Voter turnout dropped significantly from 56.25 percent in the preliminary round to just 45.71 percent during the final vote. While logistics reached as far as South Korea and Russia, the falling participation highlights a growing challenge for the democratic administration in exile.
