Heavy rains since September 2 have caused severe flooding in Tibetan regions of Qinghai province, killing at least nine people and hundreds of livestock. Roads, bridges, and homes have been damaged, with some areas experiencing landslides and hailstorms. Six people died in Serchen County, and three others in Minhe County due to landslides. Nearly 400 livestock perished in Tsekhok County. Chinese authorities have raised the weather alert, and flooding has cut off roads, making travel in affected areas difficult. Climate change is suspected to worsen such incidents.
