Tibetologist Vijay Kranti Warns Against Beijing Dialogue at Book Launch

Indian journalist Vijay Kranti launched his new book, "China’s Colonial Games in Tibet," in Dharamshala, using the platform to warn Tibetan leaders against renewed back-channel talks with Beijing. Compiling 60 essays on China's oppressive policies, the book exposes how Beijing historically uses diplomatic dialogue to buy time and deflect international scrutiny. Kranti argued that previous negotiations, like those preceding the 2008 Olympics, only helped China tighten its grip on Tibet. He urged the Central Tibetan Administration to reconsider its Middle Way Approach, stating that Tibetans made significant historical concessions for autonomy but received absolutely nothing in return.
