Tibetans Run to UN in Monthly NYC Protest Against CCP

About 40 Tibetan activists ran from Jackson Heights to the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan on Sunday in the latest “Run for Tibet – Run to End CCP” campaign. Organized by the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress of New York and New Jersey, the monthly event marks the 1959 Tibetan Uprising and protests China’s occupation. This 12th run began at Diversity Plaza and ended with a protest outside the UN. Chief guest Tsering Dhundup, a veteran activist, inaugurated the event. Participants chanted pro-Tibet slogans and sang the Tibetan National Anthem to demand human rights in occupied Tibet.
