Tibetans Mark Losar with Prayers in Dharamshala

Tibetans in exile marked Losar, the Tibetan New Year, with special prayers at Tsuglagkhang Temple in Dharamshala. The ceremony, led by Namgyal Monastery monks, was attended by officials of the Tibetan government-in-exile. According to ANI, celebrations remained subdued due to the recent earthquake in Tibet, with only essential rituals performed. Deputy Speaker Dolma Tsering highlighted the focus on prayers for earthquake victims and global peace. Chimi Rigden, the Dalai Lama’s private secretary, expressed hope for the Wood Snake Year 2152, noting that recent heavy rainfall was seen as a good omen.
