The Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein has launched a week-long peace march from the Swiss Parliament in Bern to the Chinese Embassy in Zurich. Running until March 10, the rally marks the 67th anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising and honors the Dalai Lama’s 90th birth year. Fifteen intergenerational participants are walking to spotlight severe human rights violations, including the forced residential schooling of one million Tibetan children and mass displacement. Backed by Swiss lawmakers, the non-violent march demands transparency and justice while promoting universal peace, dialogue, and a diplomatic resolution to the Sino-Tibetan conflict.
