Jawalakhel Samdupling Tibetan Settlement in Kathmandu marked His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birth anniversary(Tibetan calender) by providing aid to flood victims in Nepal. Around 600 people received food, water, and clothes following recent floods and landslides that left 239 dead and many injured or missing. The relief effort, held on an auspicious Wednesday, was dedicated to the Dalai Lama’s health and longevity. This is part of ongoing charitable events guided by the Gaden Phodrang and CTA, Tibet.net reports.
