Tibetans Convene in Washington for Annual Tibet Lobby Day

Over 225 Tibetans and supporters from 27 states gathered in Washington, D.C., for the annual Tibet Lobby Day to urge lawmakers to pass the Assuring the Future of Tibet Act. Organized by the International Campaign for Tibet, this year's event saw a significant surge in youth participation. Delegates met with U.S. legislators to advocate for fundamental human rights and self-determination. A Capitol Hill reception also honored the re-election of Sikyong Penpa Tsering and featured an address by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, who reaffirmed strong bipartisan American commitment to the Tibetan community's ongoing democratic freedom struggle.
