Tibetans Celebrate Dalai Lama’s Grammy; TYC Slams China’s 'Separatist' Claims

The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) and the Dharamshala community celebrated His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's Grammy win with traditional festivities near his temple. However, the event also served as a platform to condemn Beijing's hostile reaction. After Chinese officials labelled the award "anti-China political manipulation" and the Dalai Lama a "separatist," the TYC dismissed these accusations as baseless propaganda designed to distract from repression in Tibet. Reaffirming the Dalai Lama's status as a global peace icon, the TYC stated that authoritarian regimes inherently fail to understand transparent, democratic recognitions like the Grammy Awards.
