Tibetan Youth Congress Opens 19th General Body Meeting in Dharamshala

The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) began its 19th general body meeting in Dharamshala, bringing together over 130 members from 40 regional chapters worldwide. The week-long session will discuss 11 key agendas, including future campaigns and the continuation of the Tibetan freedom movement, and will conclude with elections for a new central executive body. The opening ceremony was attended by Kurdeling Rinpoche as chief guest, along with senior Tibetan leaders and dignitaries. TYC leaders stressed the organisation’s role in promoting nonviolent activism, expressing gratitude to the Dalai Lama, and advancing the goal of Tibet’s complete independence.
