Tibetan Youth Congress Holds Prayer Service to Honor Late Gyalo Thondup

The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) organized a prayer service today at the main Tibetan temple in Dharamshala to honor KuNgo Gyalo Thondup, elder brother of the 14th Dalai Lama, following his passing on Saturday. The ceremony coincided with his funeral in Kalimpong. Monks and exiled Tibetans participated, remembering his role in the Tibetan freedom struggle. TYC General Secretary Sonam Tsering highlighted Thondup’s efforts in securing international support and facilitating dialogue with China. The event served as a tribute to his lasting contributions to the Tibetan cause.
