Tibetan Student Ngawang Lhadon Wins Delhi University Gold Medal

Ngawang Lhadon, a Department of Education (DoE) scholarship recipient under the Central Tibetan Administration, secured the top position in her Bachelor of Physical Education program at Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education & Sports Sciences, Delhi University. She received a Gold Medal from India's Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, at the university’s 101st convocation on 22 February 2025. Originally from Sonamling Settlement, Ladakh, Ngawang has represented Tibet in international soccer. She dedicates her achievement to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and aims to promote sports sciences within the Tibetan community.
