Tibetan Parliamentarians Meet J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah

Tibetan parliamentarians Choedak Gyatso and Gonpo Dhundup met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar on June 23, 2026, to raise a land-related grievance affecting the local Tibetan settlement. Abdullah assured the delegation that he would discuss the matter with relevant officials and work toward a resolution. Joined by Ladakh Chief Representative Officer Tashi Dhundup, the parliamentarians thanked Abdullah and his family for their longstanding support of Tibetans and close ties with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. They also requested his continued support for the Tibetan community and cause.
