Tibetan Parliament Moves to Standardise National Flag

The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, currently holding its 10th session of the 17th Parliament in Dharamshala, is set to formalise standards for the Tibetan National Flag. A committee has been tasked with presenting proposals on dimensions, colours, and design in the next session. Deputy Speaker Dolma Tsering noted that the flag has never been officially standardised by the Kashag, leading to inconsistencies. MP Dorjee Tsetan stressed its historical importance as a symbol of Tibetan freedom. Lawmakers said creating a uniform design will strengthen Tibetan identity and unity. The current session runs from 10 to 18 September.
