Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, during the twelfth day of its ongoing ninth session, elected Yeshi Wangmo as the new Chief Justice Commissioner, marking the first time a woman has held the top post in the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission. Wangmo secured 31 votes, defeating Sonam Gyaltsen. Dawa Phunkyi and Phagpa Tsering were elected as Justice Commissioners, while Tashi Topgyal became Auditor General. The session, chaired by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, also passed a unanimous solidarity motion addressing critical conditions in Tibet, highlighting calls for unity, environmental concerns, and the release of the 11th Panchen Lama.
