Tibetan MPs Urge European Parliament to Address Tibet Issue

On October 1, 2024, a Tibetan parliamentary delegation met with several Members of the European Parliament in Belgium to discuss the situation in Tibet. MPs Tashi Dhondup and Rigzin Lhundup briefed parliamentarians from France, Austria, Lithuania, Romania, and Germany on China’s policies in Tibet. They emphasized the exile community’s efforts to preserve Tibetan language and religion, while advocating for international support. The delegation urged European lawmakers to address Tibet’s issue within the Parliament and push for a resolution on the ongoing Sino-Tibetan conflict.
