Tibetan Leadership Honors India’s Democracy on 77th Republic Day

The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) marked India's 77th Republic Day with a ceremonial gathering at Gangchen Kyishong, Dharamshala. Led by Officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma Changra and Deputy Speaker Dolma Tsering Teykhang, senior officials gathered to hoist the Indian tricolour. Tharlam Dolma Changra praised India as a global model of enduring democracy, noting that His Holiness the Dalai Lama drew inspiration from the Indian constitution to establish democratic governance for Tibetans in exile. The leadership expressed profound gratitude to the Indian government and its people for their decades of unwavering support and generosity toward the Tibetan refugee community.
