Central Tibetan Administration or Tibetan govt. in-exile has raised concerns over China's expansion of colonial-style boarding schools in Eastern Tibet. According to ANI, Norzin Dolma, Minister of Information and International Relations, said these schools aim to assimilate Tibetan children by separating them from their families and erasing their cultural identity. Over 1,700 young monks have reportedly been forcibly enrolled, with parents facing arrests for resisting. Norzin called on the international community to intervene, urging China to respect Tibetans' cultural and religious rights under international law.
