Tibetan Flag Raised in East Rutherford for Uprising Day

On 8 March 2025, the Tibetan national flag was raised at the East Rutherford municipal building in New Jersey to mark Tibetan National Uprising Day. Mayor Jeffrey Lahullier officially declared the date as Tibet Day, and he, along with State Assembly member Nellie Pou, led the flag-raising ceremony. Over 100 people attended, including Tibetan community representatives and local officials. The event highlighted growing Tibetan presence in the area, led by Seeds of Tibet. Later, a gathering was held to celebrate Tibetan New Year, where officials reaffirmed their support for the Tibetan cause.
