Berlin’s Carnival of Cultures 2025 began on June 6 with over 4,000 performers from 68 cultural groups. Among them, the Association of Tibetans in Germany made their first-ever appearance, offering expressive dances and spiritual songs symbolizing Tibet’s rich heritage. Held during His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, their participation highlighted his commitment to preserving Tibetan culture. According to Dundup Donka, president of the association, the event amplifies Tibetan voices and promotes global understanding. With 750,000 attendees and livestreaming worldwide, the Carnival continues to champion diversity, peace, and cultural unity since its founding in 1996.
