Veteran Tibetan activist Jamyang Tenzin, 65, has resumed his 7th Tibet Awareness Solo Cycle Rally from Wani, Maharashtra, after recovering from typhoid. He had fallen ill two months earlier from contaminated rainwater during his cross-country campaign. The rally, launched on 6 July from Bylakuppe to mark the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, is expected to conclude in Dharamsala on 10 December, Nobel Peace Prize Day. Speaking to Tibet Express, Jamyang said he resumed his journey after full recovery, reaffirming his commitment to raise awareness about Tibet’s plight and honour a promise made to his late father.
