Tibetan Activist Namkyi Concludes European Advocacy Tour

Tibetan activist and former political prisoner Namkyi concluded her 12-day European advocacy tour with a powerful address in Zurich, Switzerland, on 21 February 2025. The event, organized by GSTF, TYAE, TWA, and TCSL, highlighted Tibet’s ongoing struggles under Chinese rule. Namkyi shared her harrowing experiences of imprisonment and torture, urging Tibetans in exile to preserve their identity and advocate for Tibetan rights. She also emphasized China’s crackdown on Tibetan education and culture. Her tour, including engagements at the UN, reinforced the urgency of continued global support for Tibet’s freedom and human rights.
