Tibet Advocacy Alliance Urges India to Recognize Tibet as Occupied

Tibetan activists from the Tibet Advocacy Alliance-India launched a lobbying campaign in New Delhi on March 17, 2025, urging Indian MPs to recognize Tibet as an occupied country. The 10-day initiative involves meetings with Indian lawmakers to highlight China's suppression of Tibetan culture, language, and religion. The delegation also called for support in honoring the Dalai Lama’s contributions and backing Tibetans' right to determine his reincarnation. Sonam Tsering of the Tibetan Youth Congress described the lobbying efforts as successful, with MPs expressing awareness and interest in Tibet’s cause.
