Students for a Free Tibet Mark Human Rights Day, Call for Release of Political Prisoners

Sudents for Free Tibet (SFT) commemorated World Human Rights Day in Dharamshala by launching the “Write for Rights” campaign, urging China to release five Tibetan political prisoners. According to ANI, activists appealed to the public to sign petitions and send postcards to Chinese authorities advocating for the prisoners, including environmentalists and writers. The initiative also honored the Dalai Lama's Nobel Peace Prize. SFT emphasized that amplifying these prisoners' voices is vital, even if China remains unresponsive, to highlight ongoing human rights abuses in Tibet.
