Sikyong Seeks Indian Government Support for Tibetan Medicine

On April 23, 2025, Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) met with India’s Minister of AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, to seek support for traditional Tibetan medicine under the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy (TRP) 2014. He was accompanied by key health and diplomatic officials, emphasized the need to strengthen the Tibetan Sowa-Rigpa medical system and improve welfare for its practitioners. The visit marks an ongoing effort by the CTA to integrate Tibetan medicine into India's broader traditional healthcare framework, reported Tibet.net.
