Sikyong Penpa Tsering, President of the Central Tibetan Administration, indicated that 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorjee could return to India soon, pending favourable developments in a legal case. Sikyong, addressing Tibetans in Sikkim, noted that recent proceedings in Himachal Pradesh's High Court involving the Enforcement Directorate may ease the Karmapa’s path to return. His potential return to Rumtek Monastery, Sikkim's influential Black Hat sect center, is highly anticipated, despite past controversies and competing claims to the Karmapa title.
