Scottish Delegation Visits Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile

On 3 April, Ross John Greer MSP, Chair of the Scottish Cross-Party Group for Tibet, visited the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile in Dharamshala with two colleagues. They were welcomed by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, who explained the Tibetan Parliament's democratic structure and recent challenges. The Speaker condemned China’s 28 March White Paper for asserting control over Tibetan reincarnations and accusing the Dalai Lama and Western nations of separatism. He called the document misleading and divisive. The delegation reaffirmed their support for Tibet’s cause, reported the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.
