Peace Rally Marathon for Tibet Concludes in Toronto

The 6th Peace Rally Marathon for Tibet concluded on September 28, 2025, in front of the Chinese Consulate in Toronto after beginning in Ottawa. Initiated in 2020 by Tibetan activist Pema Kunga, the annual event raises awareness of Tibet’s political, cultural, and environmental challenges under Chinese rule. This year’s rally was held in support of the Central Tibetan Administration’s “Year of Compassion” campaign marking the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Sikyong Penpa Tsering sent a letter praising the participants’ efforts and urging continued support for Tibet’s nonviolent struggle.
