Those targeted include former governors and United Front Work Department (UFWD) leaders, signaling significant corruption or possible political shifts. Since Xi Jinping's rise, anti-graft campaigns have focused on consolidating power, often affecting Tibetan regions under Chinese rule. Dechen, historically part of Kham, holds political and spiritual ties to Tibet but is lesser-known globally. The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) has not yet released details about the investigations, reports indicate.
