North America Tibet Associations Hold 23rd Annual Conference

Representatives of 21 Tibetan associations from the United States and Canada gathered in Minnesota from 31 August to 2 September for the 23rd Annual Conference of the North America Tibetan Associations. The three-day meeting, hosted by the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota, brought together 40 participants and Tibetan representatives. Discussions focused on security for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, advocacy, cultural schools, and the Year of Compassion. A 31-clause resolution and two special resolutions were adopted. The closing coincided with Tibetan Democracy Day and featured cultural performances, speeches, and recognition for long-time supporters of the Tibetan cause.
