New Leaders for Indian Parliamentary Forum on Tibet

The All Party Indian Parliamentary Forum for Tibet (APIPFT) has appointed Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab as Convener and Shri Tapir Gao as Co-Convener, both BJP MPs. The announcement, made on August 7, 2024, during a dinner hosted by the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and the India Tibet Coordination Office, marks the forum's revival. Tibetan Parliament Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel and other dignitaries attended the event. Speaker Tenphel and former Convener Shri Sujeet Kumar addressed the gathering, emphasizing India's support for Tibet and the importance of continued dialogue with China.
